Æthelstan unifies Great Britain!
We have very poor historical data about reign of king Æthelstan in X century. However, it is known for sure that in a reign of just 15 years Æthelstan united the English for the first time. Æthelstan's conquest of the last remaining Viking kingdom, York, made him the first ruler to control the whole of England, and he is regarded by historians as the first king of England. He claimed the title of 'king of the English', and after the submission of Scottish and Welsh kings later in 927 even 'King of Britain'. Read more in our forum topic.

The Great Fire of Southwark.
London, capital of Britain, survived many disasters, including numerous fires. One of them known as "the Great Fire of Southwark" began on 10 July 1212 in Southwark, the borough directly to the south of London Bridge. Read more in our forum topic.
