Summer is slowly approaching, lilac - a magical beauty, enchants us with its wonderful flowers and unique aroma.

The legend of the lilac:
According to a Greek legend, one day the god of forests and meadows named Pan went out for a walk. While walking, he reached a river, where he saw a river nymph named Syringa by the water. He admired her so much that he simply could not restrain himself in his desire to talk to her and went to the nymph. But the nymph was very scared of Pan and began to run away in fear. Pan rushed as fast as he could after the nymph, but as soon as he began to catch up with her, she suddenly turned into a beautiful bush - a lilac shrub. It is believed that it was the name of Syringa that gave the name to the lilac (The scientific name for lilac is Syringa vulgaris).
